Transparency
Wool from New Zealand
New Zealand is renowned for producing the best Merino wool in the world. In challenging climatic conditions, local sheep develop unique fleece characterized by very fine fibers. New Zealand farms are also known for the highest global standards in wool production. The entire country (all farms) is a mulesing-free zone – a cruel practice against sheep that has long been illegal in New Zealand.
Wool Yarn from Italy
Italians have a rich tradition and great knowledge of producing exclusive yarn and wool fabrics. All our wool is spun in Italy and has many certificates, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, bluesign©, GOTS, IVN Best, and OEKO-TEX® 100.
Knits from Denmark and Estonia
It is in Denmark and Estonia that the highest quality knits are made from Italian yarn. Cooperation with local European producers gives us confidence that the materials used to make our clothing meet all quality norms and standards.
Both companies have a range of certificates, including GOTS compliance and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification.
Dyeing, Processing, and Sewing in Poland
In the next step, the knits are dyed and printed with our designs. This entire process takes place in Poland, in one of the largest European facilities of this kind, certified with OEKO-TEX and GOTS. Locating this part of production in Poland is particularly important. The European Union has the most stringent standards regarding the dyeing of materials and the chemicals used in this process. Therefore, clothing sewn and dyed in the European Union is the safest for human skin.
Paterns products are made in small family-owned sewing factories in Poland – in Zabrze, Pilzno, and Łódź. We focus on long-distance cooperation, allowing both us and our partners time to understand each other’s expectations and capabilities, which in turn results in the highest quality final product. Since the beginning of Paterns, part of our assortment has been produced in the same sewing factory. We are pleased that we can jointly develop our businesses.
Polish Boxes
Our 100% paper packaging comes from Polish manufacturers who work in line with European quality and safety standards. It is worth emphasizing that each Paterns product is placed in such a paper package already in the sewing factory, and then it is stored in this way in the central warehouse, from where it sets off on its way to you. Thanks to the quality of these paper packages, we have reduced the use of plastic to absolute zero.
